Reprogram miyoo mini
Part 1: Hide All Other Games
To make your creation the only visible game, clear out all default distractions:
- Remove existing ROMs: Take out the SD card, plug it into a computer, and delete or move all other game files out of the
Roms/directories. Leave only your game file in its respective system folder (e.g.,Roms/GBA/mygame.gbaorRoms/PICO/mygame.p8.png). - Hide extra systems and apps: On the device, open Apps > Package Manager. Uncheck every single emulator and console except for the one needed to run your game. Press Start to save, which removes unwanted console icons from your main menu.
Part 2: Enable Boot-to-Game
By default, OnionOS features an Auto-resume feature that can be locked into a loop for just one game:
1. Turn on your Miyoo Mini and launch your custom game manually for the first time.
2. Go to Apps > Tweaks > System > Startup.
3. Ensure that Auto-resume last game is toggled ON.
4. From now on, whenever you press the power button to turn off the console, OnionOS will automatically save your place. When you press power to turn it back on, it will bypass all menus and boot directly into your game within seconds.
Part 3: Make it Boot from the Title Screen (Optional)
If you want the device to boot directly into your game's fresh Title Screen every time it turns on (rather than resuming an old save-state from when you turned it off), you must adjust the RetroArch settings:
- While inside your game, press the Menu + Select buttons together to open the RetroArch Quick Menu.
- Press B to go back one level to the RetroArch Main Menu.
- Navigate to Settings > Saving.
- Turn OFF the setting labeled Load State Automatically.
- Press B twice to go back to the Main Menu, go to Configuration File, and select Save Current Configuration.
